Making 5×7″ Envelopes on the 1-2-3 Punch Board
I needed to make an envelope for a recent 5×7″ card I had made, and realized that I didn’t have any 5×7″ envelope video demos on my channel for the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board. Here are the instructions for that. All products used are listed below.
This what the 1-2-3 Punch Board looks like, and you can use it to make envelopes, bows, and boxes. I used this online calculator to find the exact measurements I needed to make this envelope. https://crafterskey.blogspot.com/p/calculator.html
This calculator is great because it shows the measurements for any size envelope you need. In this case, we need a square sheet of paper measuring 9 3/4 x 9 3/4″. I used an A3 size paper to cut this square from in the video, but you can also use 12×12″.
Our first score line on the punch board is 4 3/16″. You score, and punch, and then rotate the paper one turn to the left. The next score line is 5 5/8″, score and punch, then rotate a turn to the left. The opposite score lines are on the same measurements, so the third score line is back at 4 3/16″, Score, punch, and turn to the left once more. The fourth score line is at 5 5/8″ again; score, punch, and you’re all done with the scoring.
The 1-2-3 Punch Board comes with a corner rounder at the top of the board. Round your corners if you like. Then fold all the score lines and use a bone folder to burnish the folds. I like to use 3/8″ double-sided adhesive for the bottom flaps of the envelope, and 1/4″ double-sided adhesive for the top flap.
