Create Stunning Anniversary Cards with Alex Syberia Design

In this video project, I made an anniversary card using the new Alex Syberia Designs Charming Floral Background and Classic Sentiments Press Plates.

I cut the panels using the Simon Says Stamp Squovals die set. The larger squoval was cut from Altenew Jet Black cardstock, and the smaller one from Scrapbook.com White Mixed Media Paper Pad. The A2 card base was made using the Altenew Ultramarine Cardstock cut to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″, then scored at 4 1/4″.

After cutting the smaller squoval, I used the Spellbinders BetterPress machine to letterpress the Alex Syberia Designs Charming Floral Background into the paper. I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink on the press plate since it is a pigment ink, and would provide great coverage on the open spaces. What a gorgeous image!!! I then used the BetterPress to letterpress the Alex Syberia Designs Classic Sentiments press plate onto an additional sheet of the Scrapbook.com Mixed Media paper, and then used the coordinating die to cut out all the images at once.

I cut out three ‘Celebrate’ die cuts from the Altenew Ultramarine cardstock. I layered and glued those together, then added the white layer on top. I offset the Ultramarine layer so it would provide a shadow and help the sentiment pop off the background.

Inside of the Card

For the inside of the card, I cut a panel of Accent Opaque White cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5″. I stamped a corner heart stamp from the Gina K Designs ‘In the Corner’ stamp set in both corners using Ultramarine ink from Altenew. I then stamped a sentiment from the Gina K Designs ‘Toss the Bouquet’ Stamp Set in Azurite ink.

I finished off the card front using Trinity Stamps Black Sparkle Spots Embellishments. They are difficult to see in the pictures, but add some interest and sparkle to the background without overpowering the letterpress image.
