Market Berries: Spellbinders Stencil of the Month Club, April 2026
In today’s video project, I walk through the April 2026 Spellbinders Stencil of the Month called Market Berries. This is part of the “Farm to Craft” collection, which has fun farmer’s market-based products. I used the Altenew Green Meadows and Blushberry Bliss ink quads with the stencils to create this super cute strawberry Hello card.
For the sentiment, I used the Spellbinders Thanks Enclosed Sentiments Die Set, and added Glossy Accents to the strawberries to add some shine to the card front. All products used in today’s card tutorial project are listed below. Spellbinders sent me this stencil to have a play with, and I am grateful for the opportunity!
Club Subscription Information
Spellbinders offers a wide range of clubs: large die, small die, stitch die, BetterPress/Foiling, 3D embossing folder, 2D embossing folder, stencil, and stamp/die! There is also a club crate offered, where you will receive all of the club products for the month, plus bonus limited edition products!
Date Details
From the 1st to the 5th of the month, current club subscribers are able to go in and add/change/cancel their club selection for that month.
On the 6th of the month, the clubs open to current non-subscribers, and you can sign up for whatever club you want and receive that month’s current club offerings. On the 27th, club registrations close, and the products are sent to club members. The club products are offered at a discount.
On the 10th of the next month, the previous month’s club offerings are added to the Spellbinders online store. If they are sold out, they will be added when they come back in stock.

Creating the Stenciled Background
For this card, I added a panel of Gina K Designs Heavyweight White cardstock to my Altenew StampWheel. I used this method so I could line each stencil up in the corner of the stamping platform and stencil the image easily.
For the strawberries, I used inks from the Altenew Blushberry Bliss ink quad. For the base layer, I used Dusty Pink, and added some shading using Blush Rose, then for the seeds, I used Raspberry Sunset.
On the leaves and stems, I used the Altenew Green Meadows ink quad. For the stems, I used Hunter Green, and used Just Green on the leaves. I added a darker layer of shading towards the bottom of the leaves and blended the ink out from there.
For the strawberry flowers, I used the new Concord & 9th Almond ink with a sponge applicator. This is a pigment ink, which stays wet longer, so I made sure to dry this layer with my Ranger Heat-it tool. Check out my blog post and video for more info on the new colors.
Once the Almond ink was dry, I used the Altenew Fresh Lemon ink to stencil in the flower centers. This is a bright and joyful yellow that was perfect for the flowers.
Trimming the Panels, Glossy Accents
After the stenciling was complete, I used my Spellbinders Trimmer to cut the strawberry panel into sections. I used this trimmer because it has markings on the right side of the blade, and I was able to easily trim the panel into sections. Instead of cutting the panel into thirds and stretching the image out across the card front, I cut two small sections out of the panel to keep the image continuous.
Starting at the top, I cut the panel at: 1 1/2″, 1/4″, 1 1/2″, 1/4″, 1 1/2″. I marked the backs of the three panels with the correct order of the image, as well as their proper direction, to know how to re-assemble the pieces later.
Next, I used a corner rounder on the three sections, and then added Glossy Accents to the strawberries., and let the panels dry overnight. I placed my Glassboard Studio magnets on the ends of the panels so they would dry flat.
Mat Layers, Card Base, Inside Panel, Sentiment
I cut out two mat layers, from Altenew Ruby Red and Hunter Green cardstocks. Then I cut a card base from Gina K Designs Heavyweight White, and a white panel for the inside. I used the corner rounder on all of the pieces to match the edges of the strawberry panels.
For the sentiment, I added a small piece of Altenew Double-sided Adhesive Sheet to the back of Ruby Red and Hunter Green cardstocks, and cut out the Hello sentiment and shadow layer from the Spellbinders Thanks Enclosed Sentiments Die Set.
Assembling the Card Front
I added May Arts Jute Twine around the middle panel, and then Altenew Foam Tape to all the panels. Next, I added glue to the back of the foam tape to give me a little wiggle time, and added the 1st and 3rd panels to the red mat layer, then the middle panel. Once those were adhered, I added the red layer to the green one with tape runner, then added that to the card base.
To finish off the card front, I added a jute bow using a glue dot, and added the sentiment above the jute twine towards the left side of the card.
Inside of Card
For the inside of the card, I inked the edges of the panel with the green ink left on my blending brush, and added a skinny strip of the trimmed stenciled piece towards the bottom. I then adhered the panel to the inside of the card using temporary adhesive. I find this is easier for me, so I can remove and replace the panel if I mess up when writing my message without having to tear my card apart.
