Sheetload of Cards February 2026 | 49 and Market: Echoes of Time

For this episode of Wednesday Workshop, I used the Sheetload of Cards Sketch for February 2026, with papers and laser cuts from the new 49 and Market Echoes of Time Collection. All products I used in this project are listed below.

Wednesday Workshop | Sketches and Fun Fold Cards Series

This project is part of my new ‘Wednesday Workshop | Sketches and Fun Fold Cards’ Series. This series used to be published on Saturdays, but I have moved it to Wednesday for some mid-week card sketch inspiration! I have a playlist with all of the past episodes on YouTube if you want to check it out.

In this series, I find a card sketch on the internet and make a card (or more) using it. If making more than one card, the first one will stick closely to the sketch, while the others will have slight changes or demonstrate different techniques. I have added fun fold cards and one sheet wonders into the mix as well, so we have lots of creative options.

Sheetload Card Instructions

To make the cards, I used the Call Me Crafty Al’s Sheetload of Cards Sketch for February 2026. Her video is linked in the box below, and it is where you can download the printable card sketch. This sketch makes six cards if you follow the directions exactly. It also lists the instructions to make one card if desired.

Measurements: (different than sketch)
Gray Mat Layer: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8"
Green Strip: 2 x 5"
Inside Panel: 3 3/4 x 5"

Creating the Background Panel

For this card, I used the 49 and Market: Echoes of Time Patterned Paper Pack and Solids Paper Pack. I chose one of the patterned papers and cut it into three strips. Then I cut out two panels from each strip for the six background panels.

I have an unboxing video and blog post for the 49 and Market Echoes of Time products if you would like to see a walkthrough of all the items included in this collection.

Cutting the Additional Card Pieces

After I cut the six background panels, I cut six mat layers from Altenew Industrial Diamond cardstock. Then I cut six card bases from Recollection’s White Dove cardstock. An easy way to make cutting card bases go faster is to score an 8 1/2 x 11″ piece at 4 1/4″, then turn and cut at 5 1/2″. This makes two card bases with just one score and one cut.

I cut the strips for the card front using a light green shade from the Solids Paper Pack. Then I cut the 12 x 12″ sheet into 2″ strips, then cut two 5″ pieces from each strip. I wanted to leave the strips a little longer to give me some wiggle room in the step where I add lace die cuts to the green strips.

Next, I used the Tim Holtz Crochet Border Die Set with White Dove cardstock and cut six pairs of lace edges. I used the Tim Holtz Deckle Edge Trimmer to cut the long edges of the green strips, using the lace edges and background panel design as a visual guide on how thick or thin to trim the green strips.

Next, I used a corner rounder on the background panels, mat layers, and card bases. I also added Altenew Limestone ink to all the edges, including the lace die cuts, to give them a more vintage feel. The Limestone ink is a great gray-blue-green color and matched the paper perfectly.

Building the Card Front Layers

I added the lace edges to the backs of the green strips, on the top and the bottom edges. Next I added the strip to the background panel using temporary adhesive, and trimmed off the excess on each side of the panel. This ensured that the green strip was the exact width of the background panel.

Next, I removed the green strip from the background panel, and added a piece of distressed chiffon ribbon across the green strip using double-sided tape. I wrapped the edges of the ribbon around to the back of the strip, then added the strip to the card front using Connect Matte Glue.

Once all the strips had been attached to the background panels, I added the panels to the gray mats, and then added those to the card bases.

Collage Time!

Once the cards were assembled, it was time to decorate! I used the Echoes of Time Laser Cut Elements and Laser Cut Wildflowers packs and picked out a bunch of laser cuts to arrange on the card fronts. Then I added the laser cuts to the card fronts using a variety of foam tape, foam squares, and glue.

Finished Card Fronts

Inside of Card

For the inside of the card, I cut panels from Spellbinders Fairy Tale cardstock, and used the left over patterned paper strips to add some detail to the inside of the card. Once that was complete, I used the corner rounder on the inside panel as well.

I adhered the panel inside the card base using temporary adhesive, and I will add permanent adhesive once I write out the message. This allows me to replace the panel if I mess up the writing, instead of having to tear the whole card apart.

If you are looking for additional ways to decorate the inside of your cards, check out my Part 1 and Part 2 videos with more easy ideas.

I hope you enjoyed this project! For more card-making ideas, check out my YouTube playlist and card-making blog posts. I also have a Sheetload of Cards playlist on YouTube, as well as a Wednesday Workshop Series playlist for additional inspiration.
