Create a Vintage Anniversary Card with Simple Stories
In this video project, I made a vintage-inspired anniversary card using the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Love Story Collection Pack, Spellbinders Torn Edges Die Set, Lisa Horton Crafts Script Text BetterPress plate, and the Dina Wakely Holding Your Heart BetterPress plate and die set. I received the Torn Edges Die Set from Spellbinders to have a play and create a project using the die set.

Card Instructions
For this card, I used the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Love Story Collection Pack to create a vintage-inspired Anniversary Card. I picked out a patterned paper I loved in the pack, and cut the background panel from that. I then selected another patterned paper that I wanted to turn into a vintage-looking letter. I cut that piece out and then used my BetterPress with the Lisa Horton Script Text press plate and Distress Oxide in Vintage Photo to add the script image to the paper.
Next, I used the Spellbinders Torn Edges dies to cut the notebook edge on the left side of the paper, and used the torn edge dies on the top, bottom, and right sides of the paper. I used the Tim Holtz Distresser Tool on the background panel to rough up the edges. Then, I added Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to all edges of the background and the letter panel to make it look aged.
I made the card base out of Spellbinders Cream cardstock, and added Vintage Photo ink to the edges to match the other card pieces. Next, I added the background piece to the card base with tape runner, and the letter piece on top of that with Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape.
Then I cut out an image from the cut-apart sheet, cut it in half, and distressed and inked the edges of both pieces. I attached the larger rectangle to the front of the card panel using glue, and added the small strip with Scrapbook.com 1/4″ foam tape.
To add some shine and interest to the front of the card, I smooshed the Lisa Horton Crafts Bronze Metallic ink pad on my Glassboard Studio glass mat, and added some water to it using my Distress Sprayer. I used an Altenew Watercolor Brush to mix the water and ink together, and then splattered it on the front of the card. I had some ink left over, so I splattered the inside of the card, and also wiped up the rest of the ink on a piece of cardstock to make an ink-smooshed panel for a future project.

The Simple Stories Simple Vintage Love Story paper collection includes a sticker sheet, and I used some of the stickers on the inside of the card. I also added part of the branding strip from one of the patterned papers next to the score line to add some interest, and to tie the theme from the card front to the inside. For the sentiment, I used my BetterPress machine, with the Dina Wakely Holding Your Heart BetterPress plate and die set, and Lisa Horton Crafts Bronze Metallic Ink. I used a dauber with the Bronze ink on the edges of the sentiment to make it look aged and to stand out from the background.
As a final touch, I cut out one of the stamp images from the patterned paper and added it to the back flap of the envelope.
