Card Instructions

To make the cards, I used the Call Me Crafty Al’s Sheetload of Cards Sketch for July 2025. Her video is linked in the box above, and it is where you can download the printable card sketch. This card sketch makes twelve cards if you follow the directions exactly. There are also instructions on how to make one card if desired.

I picked out six sheets from the Arden Creative Studio Vintage Makers Essentials 6×8″ Paper Pad, and cut them according to the card sketch instructions. I made twelve card bases from six sheets of Spellbinders Cream cardstock. After cutting the sketch pieces, and strips for the inside of the card, I was left with minimal scraps.

I wanted the cards to have a vintage-feel, so I added Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to the edges of the card base, large patterned paper rectangles, and the cream sentiment panels. I then assembled the card pieces, putting the larger pieces together with Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Tape Runner, and liquid glue to put the small strip on the sentiment panel.

Card Front Assembly Tip

I lined up my card base on my glass mat from Glassboard Studios, using the A2 Landscape markings, and then used my MegaPawn magnet to hold the base down. Next I placed a piece of Very Low Tack Tape from Simon Says Stamp across the middle of the card, using the grid lines on the mat to put the tape on straight. The tape is 1/2″ wide, which is how far apart the small pieces from the sketch need to be. I then glued the four small rectangles to the card front using the tape as a guide.

After adhering the small pieces, I added the larger panel to the middle of the card front using tape runner.

Inside of Card

For the inside of the cards, I cut card panels out of Spellbinders Cream Cardstock. I used 1/2″ skinny strips cut from the patterned paper and glued them inside the card to carry the design from the card front to the inside.

Finishing up the card project

To decorate the card front, I used a combination of the Arden Creative Studio Vintage Makers Essentials PET Tape Stickers and Vellum Ephemera to create collages. The vellum pieces are very thick and liquid glue does not show through the vellum.

I hope you enjoyed this project! For more card-making ideas, check out my YouTube playlist and card-making blog posts. I also have a Sheetload of Cards playlist on YouTube.
