Moody Stenciled Bloom: Anniversary Card | Gorgeous Bloom from Gina K Designs

For this project, I wanted to make a dark and romantic Anniversary Card using the Gina K Designs Gorgeous Bloom embossing folder and stencil set. For the stencil layers, I used Dark Cranberry, Dark Chocolate, Butterscotch, Green Grass, and Fresh Asparagus inks. To finish up the card, I stamped and die cut a sentiment from Parisian Charm, and added some Dew Drops for interest. All products I used in this project are listed below.

Card Base: 5 1/8 x 6 7/8"

Embossing and Stenciling
I first cut a panel from Gina K Designs Ivory cardstock, a mat from Black Onyx, and an additional mat from Kraft cardstock. I embossed the ivory panel using the embossing folder, and then stenciled the embossed image.

For the flower, I stenciled with Dark Cranberry ink, and then added shading around the edges of the petals with Dark Chocolate ink. The flower center was inked with Butterscotch.

For the leaves, I used Grass Green ink, and then used Fresh Asparagus ink on the edges of the leaves for shading.

Putting Together the Card Front
After the stenciling was complete, I added the panel to the Black Onyx mat, and then on to the Kraft mat layer. I added the layers to a card base made from Gina K Designs Cranberry cardstock.
I stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment from Parisian Charm on Ivory cardstock with Black Onyx ink, and then cut it out with the coordinating die. I also cut out two additional layers from Ivory cardstock and glued all three layers together using Connect Matte glue.

Next, I added the sentiment to the front of the card with glue, and used my Mis-T ruler to make sure the sentiment die cuts were straight on the card front. After that, I used clear Dew Drops to add additional interest to the card.

Inside of Card
For the inside of the card, I cut an Ivory panel and then embossed the left edge of the cardstock using the embossing folder. I added the panel to a mat layer of Dark Chocolate cardstock.
I adhered the panel inside the card base using temporary adhesive, and I will add permanent adhesive once I write out the message. This allows me to replace the panel if I mess up the writing, instead of having to tear the whole card apart.
