Simon Says Stamp Card Kit January 2026 Unboxing, The Small Things
In today’s video project, I unboxed the Simon Says Stamp January 2026 Card Kit called The Small Things, and also created two cards using the patterned paper from the kit. This kit contains beautiful Winter-themed products and includes:

Card Inspiration
I made two cards using the gorgeous Winter Forest paper from La-La Land Crafts, along with the Sage, Soft Navy, and Neenah cardstocks that were included in the card kit.
Card #1 – Mini Slimline
Measurements

Inside Panel: 5 3/4 x 2 3/4"
For this card, I created a mini slimline card base from the Simon Says Stamp Sage cardstock. I used the Tim Holtz Silver Kraft Stock as a mat layer, and cut one of the La-La Land Crafts Winter Forest papers in half for the card panel.
For the sentiment, I wanted to heat emboss it on the patterned paper, so I first treated the paper using Simon Says Stamp anti-static powder. Then I used my Misti Stamping Tool to stamp the sentiment from The Small Things stamp set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I coated the stamped sentiment with WOW! Clear Sparkle Embossing Powder, and melted it with my Chandler Heat Tool.
Once that was completed, I added Vivant Silver cording around the bottom of the winter scene paper, under the sentiment. I added Scrapbook.com 1/4″ and 1″, 1mm Black Foam Tape to the back of the patterned paper, added glue to the foam tape, and then layered the paper on top of the mat layer. Finally, I added the layers to the card base using my tape runner.
Inside of Card #1
On the inside of the card, I cut a panel from the Neenah White Cardstock and stamped the tree image from The Small Things stamp set towards the left. I used Altenew Misty Harbor ink for the tree, and Altenew Jet Black ink for the inside sentiment.
Card #2 – A2 Size

For this card, I created an A2 card base from Neenah White Cardstock. I cut a piece of Simon Says Stamp Silver Vellum and embossed it with the Pixie Snowflake Embossing Folder, then created a mat layer of Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy Blue cardstock to place behind the vellum. Next, I stamped a sentiment from The Small Things stamp set on the lower right of the card front, using Spellbinders Cosmic Sky BetterPress ink, as it is archival ink and will dry on a shiny surface.
Next, I cut one of the La-La Land Crafts Winter Forest papers in fourths for the card’s focal image and added a Soft Navy Blue mat behind it using a tape runner. I used Scrapbook.com Black Foam Tape to add the square panel to the card front. Finally, I added some Simon Says Stamp Dusk Gems to the card front to add sparkle and shine.
Inside of Card #2
On the inside of the card, I cut a panel from the Neenah White Cardstock and stamped the snowflake images from The Small Things stamp set towards the left. I used Gina K Designs Cadet Blue and Blue Sky inks to stamp the snowflakes. I added a strip of the silver vellum under the panel to add some additional interest to the inside of the card.
