Gina K Designs Glorious Gatefolds: 1 Die Set, 2 Stunning Looks: Wednesday Workshop Series
In this episode of my Wednesday Workshop Series, I used the Gina K Designs Glorious Gatefolds Die Set to create two different gatefold card styles, vertical and horizontal. All products used in this project are listed below.

Wednesday Workshop | Sketches and Fun Fold Cards Series
This project is part of my new ‘Wednesday Workshop | Sketches and Fun Fold Cards’ Series. This series used to be published on Saturdays, but I have moved it to Wednesday for some mid-week card inspiration! I have a playlist on YouTube with all the past episodes if you’d like to check them out.
In this series, I find a card sketch on the internet and make a card (or more) using it. If making more than one card, the first one will stick closely to the sketch, while the others will have slight changes or demonstrate different techniques. I have added fun fold cards into the mix as well, so we have lots of creative options.
Main Product: Glorious Gatefolds Die Set
The Glorious Gatefolds Die Set was revealed on Day 11 of my Gina K Designs 12 Days of Christmas unboxing series. If you missed any of the daily reveals or other projects in the series, you can check out my playlist on YouTube or blog posts.

Card #1 – Vertical Orientation
For this version, I used Wild Wisteria cardstock for the card base, Heavyweight White cardstock for the panels, and Black Onyx cardstock for the mat layers.

Measurements:
Card Base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2"
Score at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8"
Middle Rectangles: Master Layouts 18
White Panel - 2 1/2 x 3 3/4"
Black Mat - 2 5/8 x 3 7/8"
Card Doors: Glorious Gatefolds Die Set, Master Layouts 13
Scroll and Vellum Panels: 1 5/8 x 5"
Black Mat - 1 3/4 x 5 1/8"
I cut the rectangle panel and mat layer for the focal image using Master Layouts 18. Then I stamped the floral image from the Tall Stems stamp set towards the top of the rectangle, and stamped a sentiment from the same set towards the bottom using Altenew Jet Black ink. I used Orchid Oasis and Shaded Spruce alcohol markers from Stampin’ Up! to color in the middle floral image to add a pop of color to the card front. I added the rectangles together using a tape runner.

To decorate the gatefold card doors, I cut out two of the long dies from the Glorious Gatefolds die set from White cardstock, and also two Spellbinders Vellum panels using Master Layouts 13. The stitched dies in Master Layouts 13 are sized the same as the dies in the Glorious Gatefolds die set, so you can add another color behind the die cut easily. I also cut out two of the long, straight-edged dies from Master Layouts 13 in Black Onyx for a mat layer behind the scroll panels.

I added the scroll die cut to the vellum using glue and used my Scor-Buddy to help line up the panels. Next, I ran the panels through my Xyron Sticker Maker to add adhesive to the entire back of the vellum piece, to help avoid it showing through the vellum. I lined up the piece and added it to the black mat. I added the long pieces to the doors using my tape runner, and then added the focal image to the front also using the tape runner. Take care to only apply adhesive to one side of the focal panel when adhering it to the card.
Inside of Card #1
For the inside of card #1, I stamped a panel cut from Master Layouts 2 with the floral in the Tall Stems stamp set towards the bottom, in Wild Wisteria ink. Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Tall Stems stamp set towards the top of the panel using Altenew Jet Black ink. I added the panel inside the card using temporary adhesive, and will use permanent adhesive once I write out the card.

Card #2 – Horizontal Orientation
For this version, I used Cranberry cardstock for the card base, Ivory cardstock for the panels, and Black Onyx cardstock for the mat layers.

Measurements:
Card Base: 11 x 4 1/4"
Score at 2 3/4 and 8 1/4"
Card Doors: Glorious Gatefolds Die Set, Master Layouts 13
Scroll Panel: 2 x 3 1/2"
Black Mat: 2 1/8 x 3 5/8" (Master Layouts 13)
Hearts: Master Layouts 4
I cut out the heart from Ivory cardstock, and the mat layer from Cranberry cardstock, for the focal image using Master Layouts 4. Then I stamped and heat embossed the floral image from the Sketched Roses stamp set towards the left side of the heart, and stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the Next Gen stamp set towards the right side of the heart.
For the heat embossing, I stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, and added Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder on top, melting the powder with my Chandler Heat Tool. I added the heart layers together using my tape runner.

To decorate the gatefold card doors, I cut out two of the short dies from the Glorious Gatefolds die set from Ivory cardstock. I also cut out two of the short, straight-edged dies from Master Layouts 13 in Black Onyx for a mat layer behind the scroll panels.

I added the scroll die cut to the black mat using glue. Next, I added the pieces to the doors using my tape runner, and then added the heart focal image to the front using glue. Take care to only apply adhesive to one side of the focal panel when adhering it to the card.
Inside of Card #2
For the inside of card #2, I stamped a panel cut from Master Layouts 2 with the Sketched Roses stamp set towards the left, in Dark Cranberry ink. Next, I stamped sentiments from the Sending Flowers stamp set towards the right side of the panel using Altenew Jet Black ink. I added the panel inside the card using temporary adhesive, and will use permanent adhesive once I write out the card.
