Use those Scraps! One Paper, Both Sides, Beautiful Cards | Wednesday Workshop Series
In this episode of my Wednesday Workshop Series, I created three easy cards using patterned paper scraps with a triangle layout.
For the first card, I used Honey Bee Stamps Cottage Countryside Paper with the Simon Says Stamp A2 Grid Basics Stamp Set for a sweet card to give to a friend. On the second card, I used Memory Box Fuchsia Plaid Paper with the Simon Says Stamp Good Greetings 1 Stamp Set for a masculine birthday card. For the third card, I made a Birthday Card with Boho Rose: Lavender scrapbook paper and Memory Box Birthday Greetings Stamp Set. All products used in today’s card tutorial projects are listed below.

Wednesday Workshop | Sketches and Fun Fold Cards Series
This project is part of my ‘Wednesday Workshop | Sketches and Fun Fold Cards’ Series. This series used to be published on Saturdays, but I have moved it to Wednesday for some mid-week card inspiration! I have a playlist on YouTube with all the past episodes if you’d like to check them out.
In this series, I find a card sketch on the internet and make a card (or more) using it. If making more than one card, the first one will stick closely to the sketch, while the others will have slight changes or demonstrate different techniques. I have added fun fold cards and one sheet wonders into the mix as well, so we have lots of creative options!

Assembling Card #1 – Friendship Card
For this card, I cut the card base from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, the mat layer from Spellbinders Celestial cardstock, and the square panel from Honey Bee Stamps Cottage Countryside Paper Pad.

I cut the 3 x 3″ square piece on the diagonal, and attached the triangles to the Gina K Designs White Heavyweight Cardstock panel using Connect Matte glue. Using the Simon Says Stamp A2 Grid Basics Stamp Set, I added a sentiment to the top-left of the white panel with Altenew Winter Lake ink.
Once that was complete, I added the white layer to the Celestial mat layer using tape runner, and then added that to the card base. To finish up the card front, I added some Northern Shore Enamel Dots around the sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the A2 Grid Basics Stamp Set in Icy Water ink, and added a heart to the middle of the image with Winter Lake ink.

Card #2 – Masculine Birthday Card
For this card, I cut the card base from Altenew Mountain Pine cardstock, the mat layer from Simon Says Stamp Matte Gold cardstock, and the square panel from Memory Box Fuchsia Plaid Paper Pad.

I cut the 3 x 3″ square piece on the diagonal, and attached the triangles to the Gina K Designs White Heavyweight Cardstock panel using Connect Matte glue. Using the Simon Says Stamp Good Greetings 1 Stamp Set, I added a sentiment to the top-left of the white panel with Distress Ink in Rustic Wilderness.
Once that was complete, I added the white layer to the Matte Gold cardstock mat layer using tape runner, and then added that to the card base. To finish up the card front, I added some Coastal Mist Enamel Dots around the sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Good Greetings Stamp Set in Rustic Wilderness, and also added the balloon stamp from the A2 Grid Basics Stamp Set.

Assembling Card #3 – Birthday Card
For this card, I cut the card base from Altenew Andromeda cardstock, the mat layer from Gina K Designs Black Onyx cardstock, and the square panel from Boho Rose: Lavender scrapbook paper.

I cut the 3 x 3″ square piece on the diagonal, and attached the triangles to the Gina K Designs White Heavyweight Cardstock panel using Connect Matte glue. Using the Memory Box Birthday Greetings Stamp Set, I added a sentiment to the top-left of the white panel with Altenew Andromeda ink.
Once that was complete, I added the white layer to the Black Onyx cardstock mat layer using tape runner, and then added that to the card base. To finish up the card front, I added some Enchanted Garden Enamel Dots around the sentiment.

To step up the project a bit, I used the Paper Wishes Silver Mirror Straight Line Dazzle Stickers along the edges of the triangles to add a little shine to the card front. This is a super-easy way to add to the card designs without adding a lot of bulk. The stickers lay completely flat, and add a nice touch to the card.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Gina K Designs Stamp Set in Andromeda Ink, and also added the flower stamp using Wisteria ink.
