Beautiful Altenew Dancing Cosmos Embossing Folder and Stencils
In this video project, I made a “Sending Big Hugs” card using the new Dancing Cosmos Embossing Folder and Stencil Set from Altenew, along with the Moonlit Twilight and Sage Garden Ink Quads for the stenciling. The sentiment is from the Altenew One-Go BetterPress Plate and coordinating die, and the enamel dots are from the Altenew Moonlit Twilight set. All products used in this project are listed below.

Stenciling the Focal Image
For this card, I first embossed a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb. cardstock with the Dancing Cosmos embossing folder. I used my Waffle Flower grip mat to hold the paper and stencils during the stenciling.
For the flowers, I used the new Moonlit Twilight ink quad. I added a layer of Celestial Mist over the petals using an Altenew Mini Blending Brush. Then I used Glacier Iris starting from the flower centers to about two-thirds of the way up the petals. Lastly I added Dreamy Periwinkle to the flower centers and about one-third of the way up the petals.
After using the same stenciling method for both flower stencils, I moved on to the third stencil where I used Dreamy Periwinkle as a base layer, and added Twilight Sky for some shading and detail. This stencil is divided and the top of the stencil finishes off the flowers, and the bottom of the stencil is for the flower leaves. For this, I started with a layer of Sagestone, and then added Olive Grove for some shading.
The fourth stencil is for the flower stems and the flower centers. For the stems, I added a base layer of Olive Grove, with Mossy Granite for shading. For the flower centers, I used colors from the Pocketful of Sunshine Ink Quad: Maple Yellow as the base, and Honey Drizzle as the shading.
Building the Card
I used the Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics Set B to cut a panel from the stenciled image, and then re-embossed the panel with the Dancing Cosmos embossing folder. I cut a mat layer from Andromeda cardstock and added the layers to a card base made from Forest Glades cardstock.
The inside panel was cut from Simon Says Stamp Ivory cardstock, and I embossed it along the left edge with the embossing folder to carry the theme into the inside of the card.

BetterPress Sentiment and Finishing Up the Card Front
For the sentiment, I used the Altenew One-Go BetterPress Plate with Dreamy Periwinkle ink, then cut it out with the coordinating die. There are three One-Go BetterPress Plates currently, and they are awesome as you get many sentiments with one pass, saving a lot of time.
I added the “Sending Big Hugs” to the card front using the Altenew 1/4 x 1/16″ foam tape.
