Diagonal Fun Fold Card for Easter, Plus a new heat embossing technique!
In this video project, I made a diagonal fun fold card for Easter. This was a new-to-me card style, and I really like the way it turned out. I also had an idea I wanted to try for a new heat embossing technique, and it worked out amazing! All products shown are listed below.

A2 Card Base:
8 1/2 x 5 1/2", Score at 4 1/4"
(3) Patterned Paper:
5 3/8 x 4 1/8"
Open the card base and cut the card front from the top left corner (near score line) down to the bottom right corner. Only cut the front of the card base.
Stack and cut the patterned papers at the same time so the cut pieces end up exactly the same. Cut diagonally from the top left to the bottom right, making sure to start the cut in the middle (if you have a blade trimmer) so you don't crush the points of the paper.
Attach the triangles to the card base. Add a panel on the front and decorate, being sure to put glue only where the panel attaches to the card flap. Add a smaller panel inside. Have fun decorating the inside and outside panels!
I used three sheets of Scrapbook.com Cottontail Patterned Paper, cut together on the diagonal so they would be the exact same size. I glued the triangles to the card base, and added a panel to the card front, and a smaller one to the inside. Both of these were cut with the Whimsy Stamps Spring Rectangles die set. I used the Simon Says Stamp Blessings at Easter stamp and die set for the sentiments, bunny, and eggs.
Technique Alert!
I wanted to see if you can heat emboss on glitter cardstock, and the answer is yes!!! I used the Tim Holtz Embossing Glazes in Kitsch Flamingo, Twisted Citron, and Mustard Seed so you could see through the glaze and still see the glitter sparkle underneath. It worked amazingly and looks so sparkly and pretty. I used the Concord & 9th White Glitter paper for this technique. I finished off the card front using the Pinkfresh Studio Iridescent Dew Drops. They are so beautiful and really brought out all the colors in the card.

At the end of the video, I walked though how I decorated the envelope using the Blessings at Easter stamp set, glued Cottontail paper on the envelope flap, and added some American Crafts Easter Washi for interest. I embossed a piece of cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Floral Easter Eggs Embossing Folder. I like to place an embossed piece over my card front before placing it in the envelope, as it helps protect the front of the card, especially when it has embellishments.
In the video, I also discuss how I made the envelope using the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch board, and determining postage costs. I will link my videos here regarding both of those topics in case you need more information.
