Easy Stenciled Card using the SSS Card Kit: Be Your Beautiful Self
In today’s video project, I created an easy stenciled card using the Artful Palette Stencil Set from the Simon Says Stamp February 2026 Card Kit titled “Be Your Beautiful Self”. For the flower, I used the Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems Set 1 with Tonic Jet Black cardstock. I added some splatter with Iron Gate Mica Spray, and added some Vivant Silver thread towards the bottom of the card panel. All products I used in this project are listed below.
Measurements:
A2 Card Base: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"
8 1/2 x 5 1/2", Score at 4 1/4"
Front Panel: 4 x 5 1/4"
Mat Layer: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8"
Inside Panel: 3 3/4 x 5"

The various die sizes match the windows in the stencils perfectly, and you can use the stencil to line up your collage pieces. There are five stencils included in the set, so you have a multitude of collage options. The stencils can also be used as stencils to make fun grid backgrounds.

I have a card project where I use the Artful Palette Stencil set as a template to cut out windows from a piece of Rose Gold Kraft Stock, then add Tim Holtz Palette Collection paper inside the windows. Check out the video and blog post if you want to view this related project.
Artful Palette Stencil Set
For this card, I used one of the Artful Palette stencils with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Faded Jeans, Prize Ribbon, and Chipped Sapphire for an ombre look. I started with the lightest color on the bottom left, and the darkest on the top right.
Next, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Be Your Beautiful Self Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Silver Embossing Powder onto the large square spot.
After the stenciling and heat embossing were complete, I added some Iron Gate Mica Spray over the stenciled image, using an Altenew paintbrush to create small splatters.
Then I attached the flower die cut over the stenciled image. The flower die cut is from the Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems Set 1, cut from Tonic Studios Black cardstock. Before die-cutting, I added a piece of Altenew double-sided adhesive sheet to the back of the cardstock to turn the flower into a sticker. This made it easy to add the flower to the card front without messing up the inking with glue.
Finally, I wrapped some Vivant Silver Thread around the bottom of the card panel, securing it on the back of the panel with 1/4″ double-sided adhesive tape.
Creating the Mat Layer
Tip: If you don’t have a cardstock that matches the inks you are using on your project, you can run an ink pad along the edges of your mat layer to create a perfect match! For the mat layer, I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink on the edges.
I added the card panel to the mat layer using Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam tape, then added that to the card base using tape runner.
Inside of Card
To decorate the inside of the card, I made a collage of the shape stamps included in the Be Your Beautiful Self Stamp Set using Distress Ink in Chipped Sapphire, Lost Shadow, and Prize Ribbon. I added one of the sentiments on top of the rectangle shape.
